Recent Obsessions

Welcome Back!!

As spring has finally emerged, my attitude towards life has done a complete 180! At some point during the winter months everyone hits that stage where they are just sick of the cold and stop trying, and for me that came at the end of February. I stayed in my room, taking naps and watching Netflix, and basically only wore sweatpants to class. Thankfully the sun has started to return to our world and couldn't make me happier. So in honor of my optimistic outlook on spring and summer coming up I thought I would share with you guys some of the obsessions I've had lately.

Bob's Burgers

As most of you probably know I absolutely love Family Guy, American Dad and The Cleveland Show, but just recently I have really been getting into Bob's Burgers. I definitely recommend this show (1) because its hilarious and (2) because it is clean humor. Most parents don't like their children watching offensive shows like Family Guy, but Bob's Burgers is different. It provides clever, clean humor. So go to Netflix right now and start watching!!!

Spring and Summer Maxi Dresses 

It is already easy to tell that my go-to look for this spring and summer will be maxi dresses and skirts. Their so easy to dress up or dress down, not to mention SUPER comfortable. You can go simple with a plain color, or, like me, go crazy with bright colors and bold patterns. Either way you want to go, maxi dresses and skirts are super cute and in this spring and summer! 

Pinterest 

Of course all of you know that I love Pinterest, but recently my obsession has grown even more out of control. As August approaches I realize just how much I still need to get for my apartment and Pinterest is helping me to accomplish all of this on a budget. I can't wait to create all the cute crafts I've found and make the apartment really feel like home. 

Nail Tutorials 

Over the past week I have followed seven new InstaGram pages all about nail and makeup tutorials and cannot get enough. It's amazing all the things you can do just a piece of tape!!! I've definitely tried a couple, but its easy to see that I need a lot more practice. Also, if InstaGram's 15 second videos aren't enough, YouTube has a ridiculous amount of tutorials as well!

Sprite 

Easily the weirdest thing on the list but recently I have been craving Sprite constantly. I have no idea why, but it just tastes so much better to me than Coke or Pepsi, two drinks that used to be my go-to! 

Harry Potter 

In a recent post I told you guys about my summer reading list and one of the main staples to that list was the Harry Potter series. I started it two weeks ago and am already on the third book. ( I know that compared to Harry Potter fanatics I should probably be done with the series by now, but hey I have class and work!! ) I know understand what all the hype was about, and am so happy that I now have the attention span to actually read the books. 

I hope to be doing a lot more of these posts throughout the summer, and as I have mentioned before this is my Year of Firsts, and have many things planned for this summer to add to the list. Can't wait to see you guys next time! 

Birthday Wish List - It's Only A Month Away

Seeing as it is only one short month away I figured I would go ahead and make my birthday wish list post, even though I'm pretty positive no one in my family will see it; still a nice way to get all the things out of my head. Some of the things are pretty self explanatory and simple, while others have been on my birthday and Christmas wish lists for a couple years.
