Recent Summer Obsessions!

Welcome Back!

It's hard to believe that summer is already halfway over, but as I look back at all of the experiences I have the past two months I realize just how much I have come to love some new products! Whether beauty, fashion, food or entertainment related all of these things have become a large part of my daily routine. Whether that's a good or a bad thing is up for debate.

EOS lip balm! I bought two at the beginning of the summer and this past week we got all new flavors in at work. It is taking ALL of my will power not to gobble them all up!!

Teen Wolf! When the first season came out I was all over it, but then quickly lost interest at the beginning of season two. However, all of season three I was hooked once again and now season 4 already has me addicted after only one episode.

Batiste Dry Shampoo! Working multiple days in a row and not wanting to shower in my boyfriend's disgusting shower, dry shampoo has easily become a best friend this summer. Batiste dry shampoo, which can be found at CVS and Urban Outfitters is easily my favorite!

Cranberry Salad! About two weeks ago my mom brought home this cranberry celebration salad from the Kroger deli and I don't understand why but I absolutely love it and have continued to buy it since then.

Swimming! Of course I want to go swimming in the summer, but this year the desire has grown even worse. Maybe it's because I spend all of theses beautiful summer days inside at work.

Ice Cream! I eat ice cream all year round, but it always comes back with a vengeance in the summer time. It doesn't help either that the most delicious ice cream shops are located in Bloomington, Indiana.

My Watch! My watch, exactly the same as the one pictured below except with colored numbers, has become my savior recently. All throughout Disney World I would feel lost if I didn't wear my watch, and it's even worse at work. I need my watch to stay sane!

Instagram! As most teens and twenty-somethings do, I love Instagram and being able to share my experiences easily with my followers. If you aren't already, make sure to follow me :)

My Purse! Right before I left for Disney World my mom decided to be the sweetest woman in the world and buy me a new purse, one that would be easy to carry around all of the parks but still have enough room to hold all the essentials. Mine is navy, but you can purchase the white version from Charming Charlie.

What have you guys been loving so far this summer? Let me know in a comment down below!

Current Favorite YouTubers

Welcome Back!!

Having the past four days off work has lead to me being incredibly lazy and watching a ridiculous amount of YouTube videos. The other night I rediscovered my love for A Capella performances and stayed up until 3:30 in the morning just watching videos on YouTube. I did create an entire playlist of A Capella videos that just blew me away, so please go check it out!
But today I will be discussing the YouTubers that have truly influenced me the past year to build my blog and channel and to honestly just feel more comfortable with myself. As usual in all of my favorite posts, they are in no particular order.

MissMeghanMakeup - Everything about this girl makes me so incredibly happy. She is the true definition of being comfortable with who you are and not caring about what anyone else thinks. Plus….hello??? Look at her hair! IT'S BEAUTIFUL!!!! Make sure to check out her vlog channel as well, MissMeghanVlogs

Beautybaby44 - Lindsey was the first YouTuber that I fell in love with and I have since become addicted to her videos and her amount of confidence that she consistently portrays. As always she also has a vlog channel to follow, Livinlikelindsey. And fun fact for you, Beautybaby44 and MissMeghanMakeup are sisters!

Bethany Mota - Easily one of the most influential and followed girls on YouTube, Bethany continues to blow me away with every single post. Her creativity and positive attitude about the world just makes me so happy.

Grav3yardgirl - Bunny is by far the FUNNIEST beauty YouTuber I have found and her videos always make me want to go out and buy the most random things I can find. If I could trade lives with anyone, it would definitely be her!

Michelle Phan - Could anyone in the world be more beautiful? The answer is simply no! Not that I could ever pull off any of the makeup looks she puts up, but they are all so incredible and daring!

CiaooBelllaXO - Now she may not be the type of person I would usually look to for advice, but after watching all, yes all, of her videos, I feel like she has quickly become on my of absolute favorites for beauty and clothing advice.

SarahBelle93x - Her randomness just drew me into her videos so quickly. She has such a unique and preppy style that is unlike most of the other YouTubers I follow. Plus, she is the only YouTuber I follow that is the same age as me.

Hannah Shanae - Now I have mentioned this channel to you guys before, and how I went to high school with Hannah, but I wanted to share again just how much I love her videos and all of her style choices. Ever in need of something to wear, watch Hannah for inspiration!

I hope I gave you all some ideas for new YouTubers to follow, as well as a desire to follow my channel as well! The links to all of my social media pages are located off to the right of the screen!

Also, I just learned a couple days ago that my friend Dustin watches my videos and reads my blogs, which is something I never thought he would do, so SHOUT OUT TO YOU DUSTIN!!! YOU ROCK!! :)

May Monthly Recap

Welcome Back!!

The month of May has seemed to drag on FOREVER to me, but when I take a look back at everything that has happened I can understand why. Let's take a look at all the craziness the month of May threw my way.

On May 4th, I finally left behind the teenage world and turned 20! Since it was on a Sunday and I had to study for two finals the next day I didn't do much. My mom came down with my presents and we went out to lunch, and then later that day Robbie took me out for a birthday dinner!

The entire first week of May consisted of finals and packing up my dorm room to finally move back home. Having met my freshman year and spending the entirety of my sophomore year in my dorm room, Forest (my dorm) has become a major staple in mine and Robbie's relationship. I'm not saying I'll miss living in a dorm, but there was a bittersweet moment as I locked the door for the final time.

As many of you may know, I recently got a promotion at work to be a key holder and started my training and actually new schedule all during the month of May. I absolutely love it, and even though at some points it feels like the whole store is resting on my shoulders, I wouldn't change a thing.

On May 14th I became a big girl and had my first surgery on my wrist. I've done a blog post  and a YouTube video about this experience, and all the troubles I ran into afterward. But having a wonderful mom and an amazing boyfriend who both took care of me made it all a little less scary. Also receiving beautiful flowers from my dad put a huge smile on my face!

A few days after my surgery I finally got to have my birthday dinner with my dad, grandparents and Robbie at one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Indy, The Old Spaghetti Factory! This was my first real trip outside of my bedroom in about three days, so it was wonderful!

And finally to wrap up my busy month of May, my best friend Amber recently moved into her own place and had a hilarious house warming/birthday party this past weekend. Living an hour away from all of my friends from high school the past two years has led me to miss out on a lot of fun times and laughs, but its always wonderful when I get the chance to be with everyone again.

Even having worked my butt off this past month, I have still had time to discover some new favorite products. EOS lip balm and Batiste dry shampoo have been saving my life at work!!! They are both definitely worth the price. Of course I am still in love with Bobs Burgers and YouTube, which both take up about all of my time when I'm not working.

If you haven't kept up lately I will be leaving for Disney World in one week and have been buying things like crazy. Make sure to check out my Pre-Disney World Haul video on my YouTube channel!

Make sure you guys follow me on any social media you have. All of my accounts are linked to the right!

And The Bandage Is Finally Off!!!

Welcome Back!!

If you have been watching my recent videos on here and YouTube, you probably know that I had surgery two weeks ago to remove a cyst in my wrist and have been in a soft bandage ever since that I was not allowed to remove. But the sun rose on this glorious day and I was finally able to have my doctor cut the bandage off and reveal what I had been most interested to see, the scar!

Right after the bandage was removed.
I was thoroughly disgusted yet intrigued all at the same time. My skin hadn't seen light or water for two weeks and was all wrinkled up, itchy and extremely dry. Also, the fact that I could see my stitches poking out of my skin was a bit of a sickening sight. After doing very little I was finally able to wash it for the first which was very nerve-racking! But it did manage to remove some of the gunk remaining.

After washing it for the first time!
Then it was time for a trip to the physical therapy office where I actually received help, unlike form my doctor. Not that I wouldn't recommend him to others, he did a wonderful job on the surgery and was on professional and on time, but he consistently seemed a little distant. I received a couple pages off exercises to do in order to regain full movement of my wrist and hand, as well as resistant putty to build up the muscles once more.

Of course having surgery wasn't on the top of my list of best experiences, but it was an experience for sure. I had never had anything like this done, and yes, I know it was very minuscule but I am truly proud of myself for being strong and not shedding a single tear, even when they had to try 8 times to get my IV in…

You may not know, but at the beginning of 2014 I deemed this year my "Year of Firsts," and surgery, of course will make the list. At the end of June I will be giving you all an update on that list to let you know how it's been going!

My Pre-Disney World Haul!

Welcome Back!!

WARNING: This video is not edited AT ALL. I figured I might as well show you guys that stupid things I do when filming, and sadly it is how I act 99% of the time. Also, I apologize for the words sometimes moving faster than my mouth, I am currently getting my camera fixed and then we will no longer have this problem! Enjoy :)
